Welcome to the web site for The Women's Library's exhibition what women want.

Using the Library's unique collections, the exhibition explores the things that women have campaigned on, fought and longed for, both past and present. It focuses on those issues that appear to be most persistent and unresolved in women's lives and asks the question: what is it that women want today?

The exhibition has been built in collaboration with staff and students at London Metropolitan University and community organisations from the East End of London. This site gives a taster of the display and records the work of each contributing partner.

What women want is an evolving project. As the Library works with new groups and responds to visitors' comments, the exhibition and web site will grow and change.
