Service access .
. Access into display cases is required both for initial installation and the ongoing maintenance of objects, exhibits and services. This must take into account the following:
  1. Installation procedure, is there enough room for people to install mounts and exhibits inside the case?
  2. Size and weights of the object, is there room for lifting equipment required to fit object?
  3. Conservation requirements, is there sufficient or too much air circulation space within case? Is there room for monitoring equipment and environmental conditioning material?
  4. Cleaning, is it possible to reach all parts of the case from the access point to clean the objects, mounts, glazing and case interior?
  5. Glazing health and safety, if glazing has to be handled to access case, can this be; hinged? framed? safety glass? manoeuvrable by one or two people?
